Privacy Policy
We collect one thing: your email, and only if you hand it to us.
No cookies, no analytics, no ad networks, no data sales. This page describes exactly what happens to the little we do collect.

The short version
If you never enter your email, we store nothing that identifies you. If you do, we keep your address and whether you have a dog or a cat, so we can send you relevant picks — and we delete it the day you ask.
What we don't do
No tracking cookies
This site sets no cookies at all — not for advertising, not for analytics, not for sessions.
No analytics or ad networks
No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no third-party tag manager. Nothing follows you between sites.
No fingerprinting or profiles
We don't build a profile of you, and we don't combine what you read here with data from anywhere else.
We never sell your data
Your email is never sold, rented, traded, or shared with a brand whose product we review.
When you click a "Check Price" link
Outbound retailer links pass through our own redirect so we can count how many people found a recommendation useful. We record which product was clicked, which part of the page it was clicked from, and when. We do not record who you are — there is no account, no cookie, and no identifier tying that click to you or to a newsletter subscriber.
Once you land on Amazon or another retailer, you are on their site under their privacy policy, and they will set their own cookies to attribute the referral. We have no control over and no visibility into what they collect. See our Affiliate Disclosure for how the commission side works.
The calculators
The Pet Cost Calculator and Food Portion Calculator run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into them is sent to us or stored anywhere — close the tab and it is gone.
Server logs and hosting
Like every website, our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs — IP address, page requested, timestamp, browser — as part of serving pages and defending against abuse. These are held briefly by the host and are not used by us to identify or profile anyone. Fonts are served from our own domain, so visiting the site makes no request to Google or any other third party.
Your rights, and how to use them
Depending on where you live — in particular the UK, EU, and California — you have the right to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or object to our use of it. We extend these rights to everyone regardless of location, because it is simpler and fairer.
In practice we hold one thing: your newsletter subscription. To see it or delete it, email hello@mypetguid.com from the address in question and we'll action it within 30 days, usually much sooner. Once we begin sending, every email will also carry a one-click unsubscribe link.
We keep subscriber records for as long as you stay subscribed, and delete them when you unsubscribe or ask us to. We have never sold personal data and have no plans to.
Children
This site is intended for adults buying things for their pets. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their email, tell us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we start collecting something new, this page changes before that collection starts, and the date below changes with it. We won't quietly broaden what we gather.
