We may earn a commission if you buy through our links. Rankings are editorial and never paid for.

How affiliate links work
"Check Price" buttons route through our own redirect (/go/) and on to the retailer. The retailer notes you came from MyPetGuid and pays us a small percentage if you buy. Our redirect logs the click so we can see which recommendations are useful — it does not log your identity.
Your price does not change
The commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your pocket. Prices are identical whether you use our links or go to the retailer directly.
Commissions do not decide rankings
Picks are made first, on editorial grounds; links are attached afterward. If the best product in a category has no affiliate program at all, it still wins — we link to it without a commission, because recommending the second-best product to earn one would break the only thing that makes this site worth reading.
Where our links go
Every product link on this site goes to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, MyPetGuid earns from qualifying purchases. If we ever recommend something sold elsewhere, we will link it plainly and say whether it earns us anything.
Where you'll see disclosure
A disclosure appears in the footer of every page on this site, alongside a link back to this page. Outbound retailer links are additionally marked with rel="sponsored nofollow" so search engines can identify them as monetized.
Our operating rules
Brands cannot buy rankings
No paid placements, badges, star ratings, or product positions.
We don't say tested unless tested
Hands-on testing gets labeled. Research-only picks stay labeled researched.
Tradeoffs are required
Every recommendation needs a catch, limitation, or best-fit context.
Corrections are welcome
Readers can report stale prices, broken links, product changes, or errors.
